New Mexico's state tree. Beloved for its delicious nuts which come abundantly on their own schedule, & for its rugged durability & beauty. At 7,000 ft. it does not require any extra water, at 5,000 ft. it does. Grows 12 - 30 ft. tall & wide. Food, fuel & home to many of us. Plant in fall - no treatment needed though sometimes 1-2 months cold stratification helps.  Zone 3
