|
A small bunchgrass to 1 ft. tall, less than 1 ft. wide. In summer the seed heads form a cloud of purple. The seed head that carries the seed is a 3-spoked (3-awned) pinwheel hence the name threeawn. The seed can lodge in pets paws or ears so this isn't the grass to use near them. Extremely drought tolerant. C   Zone 4
