| Detailed Description |
Showy purple flowers 2" across, shaped like tapered tulips. Biennial (3 ft.) with blue-green, waxy foliage. Blooms mid to late summer, 6 months from seed to flower. Extremely long-lasting cut flower. Sow in fall in the south. In the north, start seed early indoors or sow outside in spring. Barely cover, needs light for germination.  Zone 5
