A rugged, intricately branched shrub to 6 ft. Small, dark, evergreen leaves. In the summer, yellow, fragrant flowers appear & long, silky plumes cover the plant in fall. Heat & cold hardy. Slow growing. Sow in fall or soak seed in hydrogen peroxide for 6 hours, cold stratify 2 months & sow in spring. Germination is erratic.
