Golden Currant
Deciduous shrub to 6 ft. with fragrant, golden yellow flowers in early spring. Delicious yellow-orange to red-black currants in summer. Leave currants on shrub to become the best raisins ever eaten - if the birds don't beat you to them. Small, bright green, maple-like leaves with lovely fall color. Excellent ornamental, tolerates a wide variety of cultural conditions, likes regular water. Sow in fall & mulch seed bed lightly or cold stratify for 3 months & sow in spring.
